Scapa Flow 5 - 12 September 2009

Only one LUSAC member on this trip, organised through digigreen.net and yorkshire-divers.com. We dived the wrecks of the German High Seas Fleet, scuttled after the First World War in Scapa Flow, Orkney from MV Valkyrie, a converted trawler.

We had some mixed weather and lost one day's diving, but everyone had a great time, and all immediately signed up for Shetland 2011 (Valkyrie already being fully booked for Shetland 2010).

Some pictures and trip reports here and some more below.

Some photos by Tim Priest here.

There was a bang and the lights went out. We needed a new generator.

On the Seydlitz. A button stuck on the camera and this photo cost me 15 minutes of decompression. The fish was patient.

Spot the Basking Shark. We tried to snorkle with it but it wouldn't play.
