Scapa trip a great success

Seven LUSAC divers, one MUSAC diver and three from Sussex Diving Club have just returned from a week diving the German High Seas Fleet in Scapa Flow. We dived from MV Invincible, a former trawler, now a live aboard dive boat, operating out of Stromness. While the rest of the UK suffered gale force winds and torrential rain (or so the Met Office tell us) Orkney had brilliant sunshine, flat calm sea and not a drop of rain.

Wrecks included all seven remaining battleships, the submarine UB-116, and the trawler James Barrie. More details to follow.

Many thanks to Heike Weichert of Sussex Diving Club for organising the trip and Ian and Fiona Trumpess of the MV Invincible.
